Campaign play and local progress do not require a constant connection after installation. Store downloads, purchases, cloud restoration, ads, and public leaderboards use online services.

Standard campaign boards are untimed. Some separate hazard levels show cartoon explosions, spikes, a saw, or rising water. Daily expert puzzles and one-heart Rescue Rush offer different kinds of challenge.
