Several blocked heads may point toward the same long body. That route is valuable because its removal can open multiple exits. If it is blocked too, follow the chain backward until you find the available prerequisite.

Plan two moves, then update

Choose a legal head and identify the route it is likely to free. That small amount of look-ahead keeps momentum without asking you to remember the entire solution. Watch the board change before extending the plan.

Separate safety from efficiency

Any currently legal removal is safe: it cannot add a blocker. The strategic question is which legal removal makes the next decision easier to see. On a timer, opening the center can save more thinking time than clearing a small isolated route.

Recover after an error

A wrong tap is evidence that one ray was misread, not a reason to abandon the whole plan. Inspect the flashed blocker, zoom if necessary, and rebuild the short chain. For Rush, where one wrong tap ends the run, favor confirmed exits over a risky fast guess.
